Sustainability HVAC via EC-ventilators
There will come a time when systems and installations are ready for the next step, like reconditioning your HVAC-units. We can either retro-fit or upgrade your HVAC-unit. We replace the centrifugal ventilator, which requires a lot of manintenance, with an EC-ventilator. You will often see a return on investment within a year! How does that work?
The most important aspect of EC-engines is the fact they are using electronical communicators and are brushless. As a result, efficiency of the engine is 93%. Also, the ventilator is mounted on the rotor thereby no longer needing a v-belt. Ensuring a maintenance free, energy efficient drive. There won’t be any slip losses as there is no transmission to different axes, ensuring the EC-engine is more efficient compared to a conventional AC-engine. All other losses in the engine are lower compared to an ac engine.
Both engine and ventilator have been further developed. Radial ventilators move more air per rotation compared to conventional centrifugal ventilators. As a result, there is an improvement in efficiency and therefore reduction of energy usage. A so-called fan wall is created by positioning multiple EC-ventilators. This guarantees the operational reliability of supply ventilation systems at nearly all times.
The most important advantages of EC-ventilators:
- Energy efficient
- Built-in frequency control
- Uncomplicated
- Operational reliability
- Flexible (can communicate with every type of BMS)
- Less noise
- FIA-grant applicable
Youir investment usually pays off within one to two years!
Replacing traditional ventilators in your HVAC-unit with EC-ventilators pays off immediately. Energy consumption will reduce with 70% and EC-ventilators are maintenance free as they do not include pulleys and v-belts.
With an efficieny rate of 20-70% (depending on its shaft power), centrifugal ventilators do not meet today’s requirements. Proper adjustability of conventional systems can only be achieved when using valuable frequency controllers or other appendages. Smart electronics in the EC-engine have a built-in frequency controller and can communicate with every type of BMS, thereby making the need for seperate appendages redundant. This leads to an immediate increase in business reliability.
New ErP-regulations for HVAC-units often make it impossible to replace indoor HVAC-units. The ErP-regulations place high demands on the efficiency of new HVAC-units, which means they will need to become 1.5 to 2 times bigger. This does not fit in existing technical areas. Prolonging the technical life span (reconditioning) and increasing sustainability (retro fitting) of existing HVAC-units is therefore an interesting possibility.
Minimal noise emission: sounds good!
Using direct driven EC-ventilators leads to a reduction of noise and possible discomfort caused by this. Direct driven EC-ventilators are fully variable and therefore minimise the chance of noise pollution.
Taking excellent results, affordability and short return of investemnt into account – an HVAC-unit with direct driven EC-ventilators is the right solution for a green future!
