Water treatment cooling towers
Cooling towers are indispensable in a lot of businesses. Unfortunately, they are also vulnerable; they can lead to life threatening situations if they are contaminated. This could also result in working less efficient than before. This is not only annoying, but can also cost a lot of money and productivity. Proper maintenance is therefore essential.
This also includes treatment of water. AQ Group offers two types of treatment for cooling towers: chemical treatment of water and chemical free treatment of water. In both cases, you can be sure your cooling towers are free of dirt and working as efficiently as possible. Get in touch with AQ Group today to make the most of your investment.
Why is water treatment necessary?
Water treatment is mostly needed to safeguard the cooling towers’ hygiene. Carrying out water treatment at process installations, reduces the chance of spreading legionella bacteria. Rules and regulations have been in place since January 2004, which every company needs to comply with. We are happy to share this knowledge with you.
If it comes to chemical cleaning, AQ Group can help you in a unique manner. We are exclusive distributor of American multinational Solenic Inc. This partnership gives us access to the carefully developed and selected products which we can use for the Dutch utility and institutional market.
Chemical water treatment
Chemical water treatment is one of the options for cooling towers. We use products from Solenis Inc. for this. For example, we use specially developed and tested biocides to fight the growth of legionella bacteria in cooling towers. This treatment does a lot more for cooling towers as well.
We can use the chemical treatment in case of lime scale and corrosion. We do this by using tested limescale and corrosion inhibitors. We can also use dispergants to prevent biological contamination in the system, and we always use dosage installations and components to ensure an optimum quality of water. Chemical free water treatment
Another great option is chemical free water treatment. As no chemicals are used, you won’t have to pay for storing of chemicals. This process is obviously a lot better for people and the environment, and is not damaging to metals. We use Sonoxide® Plus, a revoltionary device which is easy to install and to operate.
Using Sonoxide® Plus, ultrasonic waves are used in combination with UV-C. Cooling water is transported through an element and is subject to ultrasonic waves at two different frequencies. At the same time, water passes the UV-C bulbs twice. This kills bacteria while keeping the UV-bulbs clean. Read more about chemical free water treatment.

Further automisation leads to additional security. Using the latest technology, we can monitor your water treatment process from a distance. Our analytical process controller will check and monitor your system, even when there is no one on site. We can read out conductivity, PH scale and ORP measurements. These can be expanded with values such as corrosion pressure and calcareous deposits.
Our engineers can check a warning message while not on site and make necessary adjustements. If the warning message cannot be resolved from a distance, the engineer will solve the problem on site.
This means we can offer a reliable monitoring service without having to be on site, your system will be checked 24 hours a day, 365 days per year while your water treatment continuous being in use.
