Project - AMSL
AQ Group recently completed an advanced humidification project for a large building. The project included the installation of a water treatment system and steam humidifiers in two air handling units (AHUs).
Central water treatment:
- A Twin 9100 SXT 30-liter volume-controlled softener
- An HQ 560 osmosis plant
Steam humidification:
- Two driSteem RTS-RX 324-4 steam humidifiers per AHU
- Total of four humidifiers installed
- Each with a capacity of 146.9 kg/h of steam and 108 kW of power
Installation:
- Mounting humidifiers on frames at AHUs.
- Four steam hoses per humidifier to the AHU
- 1200 mm steam lances in the steam sections of the AHUs
Benefits of the system:
- Precise moisture control
- Energy efficient by using osmosis water
- Hygienic due to self-cleaning features
- Flexible and adaptable to different water types
- Smart control with building management system integration capability
The project required careful planning and cooperation with the client for proper preparations, such as water connections, drains and electrics. Special attention was also paid to the steam sections in the AHUs to ensure optimum performance.
