Project - Theater & Congress Orpheus
AQ Group completed a sustainability project for two air handling units (AHUs) in a large building. The project involved replacing steam humidification with adiabatic high-pressure humidification.
Main components:
- Replacement of 120 kg steam humidifier in AHU Central Hall
- Replacement of 240 kg steam humidifier in the Great Hall
- Central water treatment for both AHUs
Water treatment system:
- Water softener with salt alarm
- Collection tank with leak detection and automatic main valve shut-off
- Osmosis unit with 560 liter capacity
- Expansion vessel of 330 liters
- Booster pump of 680 liters for both AHUs
Installation:
- 15 meters of piping per AHU (adjustable)
- Control via building management system (0-10Vdc signal)
- Flow guide in AHU Middle Hall for laminar airflow
- Drip traps in both AHUs.
Advantages:
- More energy efficient than steam humidification
- Precise moisture control
- Flexible system, suitable for different spaces
This project improves the energy efficiency of the humidification system,
